The Rob Control for Prescription Lenses is a machine dedicated to the prescription labs producing 500 jobs per day and more. After surfacing and before coating, the machine inspects the optical and dimensional characteristics of all lens types. The major advantage of intermediary control is to avoid coating out of tolerance lenses and the subsequent increase in delivery times. The machine can also be used after the coating process to identify the lenses and pad print with flexibility the progressive (i.e. free form), multifocal, prismatic, or decentered single vision lenses as necessary. The high accuracy of the inspection process avoids shipping out of tolerance lenses as well as rejection of satisfactory lenses. The capacity of this machine at 120 lenses per hour gives an opportunity to the medium size lab to increase quality and optics at an affordable price.
